San Clemente
is ideally located right in between Los Angeles
and San Diego. The city spans 15 square miles of
scenic foothills and pristine coastline and is
lovingly referred to as the Spanish Village by
the Sea. At first glance the Spanish tile roofs
and white stucco walls against the blue waters
of the Pacific are reminiscent of the Greek
Isles, just as Ole Hanson envisioned when he
founded the town in 1925.
In 1969, an
event occurred which accelerated the growth and
reputation of San Clemente. In that year former
President Nixon purchased a Spanish mansion in
the southern part of town that was built by
Hamilton Cotton in 1927. This "Western White
House" became the site of numerous historical
meetings.

San Clemente
boasts "The World's BEST Climate", with sunshine
342 days per year. The annual average
temperature is 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Whether you
are coming to shop, dine, play on the beach or
just relax, San Clemente offers the BEST of
everything, including the most perfect weather
conditions. The Spanish Village by the Sea
features hundreds of shops and places to eat,
drink and relax. The BEST of these
establishments are listed on this Web Site with
detailed information on their products, services
and menus as well as interactive mapping that
will direct you to their front door.
