Lantern Bay Park is noted for its spectacular view of Dana Point. The Smythe Bros. Amphitheater is located within the park and serves as a site for weddings and outdoor shows. Restrooms, picnic tables, basketball court, physical fitness cluster, turf areas and a playground are also available.
No parking fees are charged at this facility and a parking lot with approximately 45 spaces is available.

Salt Creek is a popular surfing location. A small, offshore reef creates some of the best left swells along the entire shoreline. Swimming, body surfing, sunbathing and tidepool exploration are other beach activities.

For the ninth straight year, Doheny State Beach is the readers' choice as the County's "Best Camping Site". The result was in response to the Orange County Register's 9th annual Best of Orange County survey. Doheny is described as "...beach camping at its best -- natural coves, unspoiled shoreline, ocean waves and sand in your toes, all set amid the smoky scents of barbecue." Great place for body surfing, beach rental equipment, tidepools, and camping.

Dana Point Harbor is an exciting portside community, located in a natural setting cove-bound on one side by dramatic cliffs and, on the other by the clear waters of the Pacific. Considered one of the most romantic spots in California, Dana Point Harbor houses two marinas inside a one-and-a-half mile jetty. Complete harbor facilities include guest slips, launch ramps, fuel dock, shipyard, boat rentals, yacht sales and instruction, fishing, all year bait receiver, harbor cruises, windsurfing, jet skiing, certified dive charters, two yacht clubs, a sailing association, picnicking and a baby beach for young swimmers. The Harbor has one hotel, the Marina Inn.
The Brig Pilgrim Intriguing shops are loaded with unexpected treasures. Visitors discover custom-designed jewelry and Indian artifacts, art collectibles, special cards, hand-formed chocolates, unique gifts, toiletries, fragrant oils, designer perfumes and sunglasses, ecologically sound gifts, leisure clothing for men and women, a beauty salon, trinkets, T-shirts, international coffees and teas, quality ice cream and restaurants to please every palate.
The Harbor houses two Marinas which have about 2,500 boat slips. There are ample guest slips available through the Dana Point Marina Company and the Harbor Patrol office for the cruiser or trailer boater.
If you prefer enjoying the beauty of the ocean from shore, relax on the half-mile picnic park island where there are picnic shelters with barbecues on wide grassy areas. Watch the boats sail in and out of the Harbor and listen to the music of the sea.
